Todays Lesson

In today's lesson we were all looking forward to uploading our filming onto the iMacs and begin editing, until we came across a problem.. We had plugged the camera in through the lead and tried just inserting the memory card into the iMacs but could not find any of our footage, however we could watch it on the camera itself. After a while we finally discovered what the problem was and unfortunately we could not access our filming due to it being in the wrong format therefore we have to film ALL of our opening again, hoping it will be the same if not better.

Filming

Last thursday we had the afternoon off school and began to start our filming for our opening, we managed to get it all done and include as many different camera shots and angles as we could. After a few hours of tiring and stressful filming we had finally got all the things we needed and wanted and was ready to start editing.

Spoof

We came across this video on youtube and found it related to the genre we are going to do for our film opening. We found it very funny and it gave us a guideline to what we will be doing.

Film Opening Genre

Before half term, Me, Holly, Sanan and Lois presented our treatments to the class however they were not liked as much as we had wanted, nevertheless we were given ideas of other opening we could do such as using a horse in the opening but unfortunately our group did not like this so we were left unsure over the half term; once coming back from half term we discussed that we would like to do a spoof film opening, we were either going to do it based on horror or comedy to which we picked comedy e.g. mean girls. We talked about what we could do, made various notes and came up with lots of thing we could include however it would not allow us to show our full knowledge of camera angles, shots, techniques etc. so after all our planning we finally came to a conclusion this lesson that we would do a spoof horror opening based on paranormal activity, let’s hope this doesn’t change again and it all goes to plan!
